CANDLE REFILLS:
We offer candle refills, so that you can reuse your candle vessel or any old container that might work as a candle. Here's how it works...
- Bring in your CLEAN vessel. See recommended cleaning instructions below.
- Select your scent, whether it be your favorite Z or HAPPY scent or a creation of your own.
- You can pour your candle on the spot or we are happy to pour for you, in which you would receive (2-3 days later).
PRICING: $1.50/oz You pour OR $1.75/oz We pour. (40% off for fills over 40 oz.)
ELIGIBLE CANDLE VESSELS: Vessels that are eligible for refilling are any candles that you have purchased from Z and HAPPY CANDLES and are in good condition, containers made of glass or ceramic and are a maximum 6 inches in height. (We are happy to evaluate if your container is eligible but typically we will not refill any porous container such as wood, stone, or cement or any candle that has visible cracks.)
CLEANING + PREPPING YOUR VESSEL: It is best that you bring your vessel in cleaned and ready to go! (We are happy to clean your vessel for an added fee of $5/vessel).
- After your vessel is completely burned down, pour boiling hot water into your vessel and let sit for at least 10-20 minutes to loosen the wax and metal wick tabs
- Pour water out and filter out soy wax
- Remove metal wick tabs with spoon (or pliers if really stuck)
- Wipe out vessel and clean with soapy warm water (and/or place in dishwasher)
- Remove outside label, if desired.
DISCLAIMER: If you are bringing in one of your own unique vessels, prior testing has not been done, therefore we cannot guarantee any issues that may occur with burning your
candle. If we are pouring your candle for you, we are not responsible for any cracks or breakages that may occur during or after it is made for you.
Note: Children of all ages are welcome at Z CANDLES, while children under age 6 are not permitted in our candle lab area due to the pouring of hot wax and fragrance oils. Children age 6-9 yrs need to have one adult present per child and guests age 10-17 yrs to have at least 1 adult present on site during a class.
